Parkland College

Parkland College’s main campus is in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, near two ski hills at Mission Ridge and Asessippi. Good Spirit and Madge lakes, which are also nearby, provide opportunities for fishing and boating. The college has seven campuses in six communities across the province; the newest opened in Kamsack in 2017.

Parkland offers diploma, certificate, apprenticeship, adult basic education, and university transfer programs in fields that include agriculture, kinesiology and police studies. The school’s 29,000-square-foot Trades and Technology Centre includes a trades shop, a power engineering lab, a welding and fabrication shop, and six customizable classrooms. New at the Yorkton campus in 2022 is the Agricultural Sciences Certificate, which will focus on modern agriculture.

University transfer programs at Parkland are popular and allow students to take their first year of almost any degree in a small class and then switch to university. These programs serve approximately 300 students a year. Students can also complete a full degree at Parkland in areas such as nursing, education and social work.
Parkland is one of seven regional colleges in Saskatchewan that provide courses created by other educational providers. Parkland recently entered a shared leadership arrangement with its neighbour institution, Cumberland College.
