About UQO

The Université du Québec en Outaouais has greatly expanded its offerings from an original slate of primarily administration and education programs. There are now eight Ph.D. programs and 17 master’s programs, including an MBA in accounting. In fall 2023, UQO launched a new bachelor of law degree. UQO is the only university in Canada to offer a bachelor’s degree in museology and heritage and in comic strip writing in French. Accounting students can choose a CPA concentration or an applied training program with work placements.

For students at the main campus in Gatineau, Que., a short trip over the bridge to downtown Ottawa grants access to resources such as the National Archives and public administration organizations. A satellite campus in Saint-Jérôme offers business administration, education, psychoeducation, nursing and social work. UQO supports the development of the region with research centres in photonics, temperate forest sciences, regional development and family intervention. A health clinic provides students with medical and mental health services, including resources for dealing with anxiety and depression.
